I am Allan’s birth mother. When I gave Allan up for adoption I hoped he would have a happy life with a loving caring family. l met Val only once but I knew straitaway that I had done the right thing. Much love to all her friends and family
Aunty Val
You may have gone but will never be forgotten. You played an influential part in my upbringing as you did with all the other nieces and nephews. School holidays at the farm with you and uncle Les were fantastic and were character building, you were our other Mum. Never a cross word, you always had that beautiful smile.
I have such fond memories of Aunty Val. Always so sweet, kind and gentle and I can never remember a cross word from her. She had the most beautiful big beaming smile that would light the room up and always a twinkle in her eyes. I remember lots of great holidays at the farm with Aunty Val and Uncle Les.
Much love
Christine
Dear Leanne and Allan
Our family have been reminiscing about Val this week of all the wonderful memories we have. Especially when you all lived up Opotiki Road. Val was such a lovely person and a wonderful friend to Mary. Condolences to you and your families at this time and much love as you celebrate Val’s life this week.
Dear Aunty Val,
You were always kind and gentle, and so generous. When young, I loved spending time with you up on the farm when you absolutely spoiled me with attention and treats.
You leave me with so many very fond memories.
With love and many thanks,
Your niece,
Jan Thompson

Such a wonderful lady, always loved seeing Val in the Avonlea Activities photos and at church prior to that. Sending much love.
